One Great Tip For Getting Your Content Out Quicker!
Did you know that the spoken word is quicker for creating content than the written word? I am creating this post using dictation on my iMac! This is a really quick way of getting written content out there.
If using a desktop computer then hit the function key on your keyboard twice to enable dictation. You can then start talking and creating your post. You can also use this on your mobile as well by using the symbol that looks like a microphone on the bottom right of your phone keyboard.
Tip 1:
Use headphones whilst dictating so that you can be heard more clearly into the microphone. This will help reduce mistakes in typing.
Tip 2:
Talk slowly and clearly into the microphone.
Tip 3:
Make sure you add punctuation by saying the punctuation you would like to use. For example, say the word comma, full stop, exclamation mark, new paragraph etc.
Tip 4
Before posting, check through your post and make sure that everything that has been written is correct and amend where needed.
Using dictation is a great way of getting ideas down whilst you think out loud. It could also help with anyone struggling with RSI. This is also great for anyone who is slow at typing!
You can now create content on the go whilst multi tasking! Dictate while you’re sorting your washing for example and then use the content later. Life made easy!
